Slay it in Seychelles

Happiness is a summer breeze, sand between your toes & your best friends by your side!

Close your eyes, envisage blue skies identical to the blue waters & silken white sand beaches! Making your heart go mushy! No surprise! Seychelles is one of the top-rated destinations for romantic couples across the world. But those wanting more than just lazing on the beaches and romance, Seychelles has a lot more to offer for families and friends travelling alike.

Forego the worldliness, experience the bliss of vegetating in peaceful environs, read a book, enjoy music, a leisurely hammock snooze, snorkel in clear turquoise waters, discover the goodness of local flavors!

The locals are extremely friendly, love to strike up friendly conversations & speak good English.  Hiring a bike or a car is quick and hassle-free for easy communication on the islands. Indian food is absolutely no problem for any tourist, but Creole cuisine is delectable as well with coconut being the key ingredient.

Seychelles is technically made up of 115 islands, most of which are totally inhabited. The most famous being, Mahe, Praslin, La Digue, Victoria, Cerf Island, St. Pierre Island.

Mahe – Largest of the 115 islands, it’s the abode of approximately 90% of the total population of Seychelles. Mahe also has the only international airport and the city of Victoria, the smallest capital city in the world! Beau Vallon beach on Mahe is sensational and yes the most popular too! Commuting in Mahe is as easy as abc with self drive car hires easily available, maps provided free of charge, it’s a delight to drive around and enjoy the flexibility of doing things at your pace.

Praslin – Praslin being the second largest island is also known as the “Garden of Eden” since it boasts of some of the most stunning beaches. Anse Georgette beach is rated as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! A must do while on the island. A Coco De Mer also called the “Love Nut”, it resembles the bottom of a woman or a lady’s pelvic, is what you will find only here! It has no use really, cos you can’t consume it, it’s purely an ornamental value. The Coco de Mer costs a small fortune to buy and you can’t eat it!!! Vallee De Mai on Praslin is the world’s only protected reserve of these beauties!

La Digue – La Digue is as exotic as the name sounds! A short boat ride away, the smallest and most composed island. Only 9 kms long! Time stands still once you’re here, limited or almost nil motorized vehicles, virtually no street lights, transport is by foot or rented bicycle, salty whiff in the air, dazzling clear blue waters, soft white sands, this island is non-negotiable to miss out while in the Seychelles! Dolce Niente’ – The sweetness of doing nothing!

Maximum islands as mentioned are uninhabited and the better islands to stay on are above. The secluded islands can be visited as day trips from there. The fairly famous islands are Coco Island, Felicite’ Island, Saint Pierre, Curieuse and the likes.
